Yes, we offer blister packaging (also called unit-dose or compliance packaging) for patients managing multiple medications. Your medications are pre-sorted into individual blister packs labelled by day and time, making it much easier to stay on schedule and avoid missed or double doses. Ask our pharmacist to get started.
Compounding is the preparation of customized medications tailored to individual patient needs — for example, adjusting a dose that isn't commercially available, changing a dosage form (such as a pill to a liquid), removing an allergen, adding flavouring for children or pets, or creating a unique veterinary formula. Yes. We compound sublingual sildenafil (Viagra) and tadalafil (Cialis) tablets in-house at Longfields Pharmacy. Unlike standard oral tablets, our sublingual formulations dissolve under the tongue and become effective in approximately 15 minutes — significantly faster than conventional pills. A MedsCheck is a free, one-on-one medication reviewwith our pharmacist, available to eligible Ontario residents who take three or more prescription medications.
